Is a salary of £300,000 ( NGN76,000,000 ) a week too much?

After a summer of speculation, Welsh forward Gareth Bale has finally completed a world record £85m (100m euros) transfer from Tottenham to Real Madrid. He will earn a reported £300,000 a week after signing a six-year contract. But are sky-high footballers' wages too much?

Gareth Bale's contract: £85.3m over six years; £300,000 a week; £42,857 per day; £14.22m per year

Bale's new contract means he earns in a day what some top notch employee earns in a year or let us put this way, he will double the yearly salary of David Cameron within just a week of work or differently he earns more than the yearly earnings of a teacher in the UK in a week.

Let us not even come to Africa because he will be earning in a day what some workers will not earn in a decade or did someone just say what some people will not earn in a life time.

On a different note, what bale earns is just a fraction of what some mogul earn, ask Bill gates? He makes about $300,000 per second (about 193,000 pounds).

It is time to go make some money, bye.
